It is becoming increasingly common to sell advertising package deals to customers. AdSystem has recently been updated with the ability to intuitively and easily handle packages.

What Are Packages?

Packages allow you to bundle multiple ads together into a single purchase for the customer. This gives you greater flexibility in billing and selling ads to customers. Because the price of several ads can be high, packages may be billed as installments.

Until now, entering package deals in AdSystem has been somewhat complicated. With this new feature the process of entering, pricing, and billing packages is now automated. All you need to do is create a package once, then it can be reused.

How Do I Use Packages?

Check out the video below to see how you can use packages:

How Packages Work In AdSystem

  • Packages are set a fixed price, and this pricing is not tied to rate cards. Because of this, you will need to set prices manually when creating a package. This shouldn’t be an issue though, because each package is saved and can be reused, so the prices will only need to be set once for each package.
  • Packages are designed to be used multiple times. Packages are meant to satisfy a larger purpose than just special offers. They are commonly created as a means of saving time bundling several ads together in a single ad order.
  • Packages typically use installment billing. For simplicity, packages default to creating a single installment when created. To edit this you will need to access billing and handle it like other ad orders that use installment billing. You can find more information on installment billing on this blog post.
  • When packages are billed as installments each invoice will be billed as part of the entire package, not as each constituent ad. This means that the customer will see that they are paying for a package on each invoice, and not individual ads.
